PARKLAND EVENTS
Revesby’s spectacular parkland is a unique location surrounded by glorious woodland, grazing deer and avenues of trees planted over 300 years ago. Revesby’s parkland hosts the annual Revesby Country Fair (the largest single day show in the country) and the annual Skeg-Vegas Classic Volkswagen show.
REVESBY CHURCH
There has been a church serving the community of Revesby for almost a thousand years and the church continues to play a leading role in the lives of its parishioners.
Revesby village hall AND GREEN
Revesby village hall is located in the heart of the village on the village Green. It provides an ideal venue for family and organisation events, such as family parties, social gatherings and awards evenings, providing kitchen facilities, tables and chairs and access for the disabled.
Revesby And District Women’s Institute
Revesby and District WI meet on the first Thursday of each month, alternating their venue between Revesby village hall and Mareham le Fen village hall. For more information, please contact the local WI office at WI House, Bank Street, Horncastle, or telephone 01507 525546.
Mareham Le Fen Croquet Club
The Croquet Club, established in 2013, is affiliated to The Croquet Association and meets on the Memorial Lawn, Mareham le Fen, every Tuesday evening, from 6:30 to 8:30, and Saturday afternoons, 2.00 till 5.00, between the months of April to October. Mareham Le Fen Bowls Club
This small, village lawn green bowls club meets at Fen Lane in the village of Mareham le Fen. The club benefits from the recently laid bowling green and caters for bowlers of all abilities. The club also caters for bowlers with visual, learning, and physical disabilities, as well as wheelchair users. Revesby Cricket Club
Revesby Cricket Club was formed in 1932, though cricket itself has been played at Revesby for hundreds of years. There is evidence that in the 1750’s, as a boy, Sir Joseph Banks played cricket on the village green.
Black Sheep Archers
The Black Sheep Archers club is affiliated to the National Field Archery Society and welcomes archers of all levels of experience, from beginners to the more accomplished archer. Coaching and a six-week beginner’s course are also available. The club meets at Revesby cricket pitch on Wednesdays from 6.30pm (in summer) and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Revesby village hall at 6:30pm (in winter). Revesby Parent and Toddler Group
A chance for parents and their pre-school children to meet and get involved in a variety of creative and entertaining activities. The group meets at the Red Lion pub, Revesby, on Mondays between 10am and 11.30am during school term times. For more information contact Ruth Paul on 01507 568982.
The Red Lion Pub
Revesby’s award-winning pub is an 1840’s traditional coaching inn offering a wide range of food and drink, as well as accommodation. The pub’s attractions include traditional home cooking from locally sourced fresh produce, local ales and a log fire. There is an attractive beer garden next to the pub and is safe for children.
Revesby Heritage Society
Revesby Heritage Society is composed of volunteers who meet monthly to discuss and keep alive the rich and vibrant history of the Revesby locale. Working in partnership with Revesby Estate, the Heritage Society is the both the guardian and ambassador of Revesby’s diverse heritage and history.
