Holiday Cottages
Revesby Estate welcome you to enjoy the tranquil way of life in their Estate holiday cottage.
The perfect retreat...
Revesby Estate are proud to welcome you to their secluded premium self-catering holiday cottage. Bankside cottage carries its name for two reasons, firstly it is located on the banks of the reservoir, secondly in homage to the family’s ancestor, Sir Joseph Banks who discovered Australia with Captain Cook.
The cottage is nestled within the belt of woodland adjacent to the reservoir. From here you will enjoy the stunning water views while having the added glory of the peaceful, mature woodland. A true hibernation station.
From the breath-taking location of Bankside Cottage, you can enjoy exclusive private walks as well as unique wildlife viewing points. We can also provide reasonably priced bolt-ons during your stay, including specimen carp and course fishing, estate tours, horse riding and much more.
From the moment you leave the public roads the magic of your location wraps itself around you. Follow the private tarmac road through woodland up to the water’s edge around to the 1800s cottage. It has been known for guests not to enter the house for a few hours and to simply sit, relax and enjoy the views in the quintessentially English garden.
Much thought and care has been put into maintaining the character of this period building, whilst equipping it for modern living. The standard is one of high quality with extreme comfort. All rooms enjoy unsurpassed views, and the unique Revesby Estate theme runs through the cottage with Estate artefacts.
This home features a kitchen that is well-equipped with modern day appliances and ample counter space. The dining room has a table and six chairs. The living room offers a log-burning stove adding a touch of cosy ambience. Upstairs you will find a bathroom with shower and bath for choice and convenience. The master bedroom boasts king-size bed and soft linen, alongside two additional bedrooms with twin beds and a single bed.
Within the local area, there is much to do for all generations and interests, from the country’s most important WW2 airfield museums to seaside fun to historic castles and mansions.
