grain storage

Growing the crops out in the fields is only one part of the farming process – once our crops are harvested, they need to be cleaned and often dried.

In 2017, we invested in state-of-the-art drying and storage facilities.

The new grain drier enables us to handle on average 50 tonnes per hour of Winter Wheat (based on a 5% moisture drop). In most years, we have to dry the majority of our harvested crops.

The facilities also help us to monitor the crop whilst in store, guaranteeing a high quality product.

In total, we have 9000 tonnes of storage – that is enough to produce 9 million loaves of bread.

We are able to offer a grain drying or grain storage service to other farmers if required.
