Diary of a Revesby Shepherdess – September 2025
Diary of a Revesby shepherdess
10th September
August has been busy moving sheep with rams. Hopefully the boys have done their job now and lambs are to be expected in January. Merlot wasn’t himself at the start so I decided to put Barnaby the ram lamb in to cover any that might have been missed. Winston was meant to be going to Louth with one ball but luckily he found a nice new home a few miles away. One ball made a good price at Louth.
This week I have entered some of my ewe lambs into the native pedigree sale at Melton. So I’m hoping they will get nice new breeding homes.
Then my next task is to put all the rams back together which is a lot more stressful than it sounds as they tend to dislike each other for while. So I have to pen them up very tight until they are friends again.
