Diary of a Revesby Shepherdess – March 2026

The last few stragglers have now lambed. They are all enjoying the sunshine and better weather. The April lambers have moved to the lambing field and everyone’s had their vaccinations. The next job is to start entering some shows and to shear the show sheep. Hopefully the weather holds out so they can be done soon. If the weather stays good all the lambs will go to the big field for the summer. Next month will be training the show sheep to be haltered and getting them ready for the year ahead. The sheep all had a pedicure on Sunday with the wet ground as it can cause a lot of scald between their toe’s. Although tot the pet of the flock escaped and luckily was caught later that day before the vaccination run out and got her feet done. We look forward to more nice weather and lots of grass!
