Take a Moment- June 2025
Take a Moment June
Hello everyone I hope you are all enjoying this spell of nice weather and that your gardens and fields felt the relief of the resent the rain. Your backs felt the relief too , from having to carry water to your plants, no doubt you are look forward to a bit more as all growers do.
I am writing this letter in a rather a hurry as I am going to miss the deadline if it does not leave my desk today. This month has flown by especially for the Bush household as we have had the pleasure of welcome a new Grandson safely into the family three weeks ago.
I are hoping when you receive this we will have enjoyed The ‘Rock Choir ‘at St Lawrence’s at Revesby on 14th of June. I have been told they play a wide variety of Music some hymns and lots of popular music but think not so much rock as lively I will tell you next month! The Church council has some wonderful news to share with you all. The Church roof is due to start!! At last!
This is likely to be the last event before the Church roof repairs begin. We had a lovely Wedding a month ago which the weather was fortunately dry. The couple reassured if we had to have buckets around they didn’t care as long as they could be married in our church in its beautiful setting. Our church is loved by so many people we are discovering..
For the church and all those who have supported it, It has been a long journey to get to this point. We cannot thank everyone enough for your commitment and support, efforts and donations. It is always a case of holding our breath when they begin to remove the remaining roof tiles that the water that had begun to penetrate the felt has not affected to seriously the timbers, but we hopeful there will be is no surprises.
Of course the builders presence will be noticed with the work force been about in the village, and we hope this will not affect anyone entering the churchyard to tend graves. We do ask, that you please take care and are careful and try to stay clear of the building work.
Below are some dates for your diary. I must also say the Coffee Morning will continue as they have become such an important meeting place for us all, drawing us together for friendship and oh yes delicious cakes!!
