Diary of a Revesby Shepherdess

9th July

Well June has turned out to be the best month yet!

We headed to Lincolnshire which is always my favourite show of the year. First my ram Harry took third place in a big class. Then my aged ewe tressie come second, but then Joey my shearling ewe went and won her class! It was a very strong class and she was my first ever homebred sheep to win a championship. My other shearling placed forth which was also really good! Then the ewe lambs come 2nd, 4th and 6th.

Joey had to then come back for the female championship class. Where again she won! Which meant she was through to the final championship class for best Southdown which she managed to win making her the best Southdown of the show. I’m was delighted with how well she did! Winning a championship is extremely hard and to be against some incredible sheep it was definitely a win I won’t forget.

My next show will be Heckington to finish the year off so hopefully we can keep the success going.
