Diary of a Revesby Shepherdess -January
It’s been very busy at the moment with lambing. We have had over half of the ewes lamb. Currently I have three ewe lambs and 3 ram lambs. The cold weather hit right at the start of lambing which was testing to keep them all warm enough.
They all have little lamb fleeces on and will move into the outdoor coats when they are strong enough to go outside. Hopefully the rest will lamb this weekend with a couple of stragglers next week.
We also got hit with some extreme rain which meant the shearlings and rams dealt with some rather wet conditions, but they are happy with hay. Hopefully conditions will get warmer soon so the lambs can go outside!
