Here is hoping that you have all enjoyed this special season. Our Churches of the Fen and Hill group have warmly welcomed many of you as you came along to celebrate Christ’s birth. And in doing so receive that special gift that gathering together at such a time brings.

It has been a very special time and thank you for all of your who have made it so, by just coming along! Or decorating of our churches, reading lessons, providing music and the lovely refreshments we have enjoyed, (I know I’m on a slippery slope here), so thank you, in whatever way you have helped.

Now the New Year is upon us I hope it is good one for you, but whatever it brings, we are here for you, that welcome is always here. On the 12^th January we held special service for Revd Andrew followed giving thanks for his ministry among us this past 9 years and wished him well in his retirement. Hopefully we will still be seeing him at our coffee mornings at Revesby.

Thank you for your continued support for the Monthly coffee mornings which are held on the 1^st Monday of each month(though we didn’t have one in January) they are a great success, thanks to an amazing group of ladies and their baking skills.  If you have never been its worth a trip to the village hall at Revesby always 10.00-12.00 they have a good raffle too. I must tell you we have had some grants coming in for our church roof. Not the biggest grants we have been striving for, but very welcome just the same and adding up nicely. We have done amazingly well raising funds to replace the damages roof but these grants are essential, your prayers as always, are very welcome.

Also, the Clothes bank still seems to be in the Red Lion car park, we thought it would be taken away last summer but it is still there and raising money for the roof if anyone has clothes they wish to find a new home for.

Prayer for the New Year

Heavenly father, accept our thanksgiving for the blessings of the year that is past; take our lives afresh into your keeping as we step into a New year, and fit us by your grace for whatever lies before us in the days to come for the sake of your son our saviour  Jesus Christ,

Every Blessing.
