Diary of a Revesby shepherdess

16th October

After taking the ewe lambs to Melton’s native pedigree sale, I got first place and reserve female champion in the show before the sale and then she sold to a nice new home in Derbyshire. The other two have gone to a lovely home in North Yorkshire. After the sale we then had the flock competition in which we came third place in the novice class for the whole of the UK.

I also found that a homebred ram I sold at Lincolnshire show went and won champion ram at Flintham show with his new owner. It’s great to see the progeny doing so well.

Lambing is only around the corner now so preparations are coming along. All the in lamb ewes will be moved next week to the lambing field before Bonfire Night. Then the count down begins for some new feet on the ground!
