Revesby Estate (7 miles from Horncastle) owns two traditional lakes set in mature woodland. The lakes have ample car parking and toilet facilities. Each lake is run as a separate Club because of their very different characteristics. The two lakes are called the Wong and the Revesby Reservoir.
Both lakes are stocked with clean, quality Common/Mirror carp, the reservoir has the additional benefit of also having large heads of course fish and pike.
Revesby Estate has introduced Fish Micro Chipping.
Revesby Estate has taken the decision to stop day ticket fishing on its Reservoir. Instead Revesby Reservoir is going to have a similar structure to the Wong and become a membership only water. The reason being simply economics, the cost of having a man taking day tickets is not being justified by the income received.

The following texts explain the reservoirs course/pike fishing and carp fishing.
Coarse and Predatory Fishing in Revesby Reservoir
We are very proud of our coarse and predatory fishing in Revesby Reservoir. We are very lucky because our Reservoir is very old. It was dug in 1860 to supply Boston with water.
Its age has two major benefits
 |
| 1. |
Firstly its age means there is much mystery to the top sizes of fish. Obviously lots of large fish are being caught, the evidence is in our pictures section. But the question is always how big will the next biggest be? That is for you to find out! |
| 2. |
Secondly its age means established woodlands surround the Reservoir. The backdrop to the Reservoir is truly breathtaking, a real haven for wildlife. |
 |
The Reservoir is by no means a small lake it is 15 hectares (35 acres) in size. The combination of old age and large size is ideal for quality catches.
The Fish
The Reservoir is stocked with: Perch, Tench, Roach, Pike, Bream
"If you want a still water where you are almost guaranteed pike action, Lincolnshire's Revesby Reservoir is the place to be." Improve your coarse fishing, February 2007 Pg 112.

Carp in Revesby Reservoir
This is the largest lake it is 15 ha (35 Acre) in size. It was first stocked with carp over thirty years ago. In the winters of 2005, 2006, 2007 restocking has taken place.
This lake is widely respected because it is a wild fishery. The largest fish is not yet known. This fishery takes real skill; it is not like so many new fisheries in which any one can catch. It is a truly exciting fishery.
The Reservoir membership is more expensive than our smaller Wong because of the large sizes of fish and greater area in which to fish. The largest recorded catch so far is a Mirror Carp weighing 32.5lbs.
